PREDICTION COMPETITION 2007/08

Thanks to all those who have entered the competition this year, we have received 200 entries in total. Well done to both Chris Brannam who collected 32 entries and to new member Peter Oldroyd who sent in 26. The update tables are listed below. Please inform me of any misspelled names.

Last year’s competition produced our closest finish yet with four entries sharing the top spot on 22 points. The tie-break answer had to be used to select the top three. So congratulations to:
1st Steve Grigg (£100) 56 goals
2nd Amber Jade-Wood (£50) 58 goals
3rd Lisa Jones (£30) 62 goals
Tie-break answer: 40 League Two goals scored by Chester City.

Commiserations to both Nathan Auty who also reached 22 points but missed out with a tie-break answer of 72 goals, and Mabel Choularton who finished a point behind the leaders but would have won outright had Manchester United beaten Chelsea in the FA Cup Final.
