WINNING START
FOR BLUES
Chester kicked off their new league campaign with a 3-2 victory over Peterborough Sports on Saturday. An opening goal from Fin Roberts and a brace from Dylan Mottley-Henry were just enough to see off the Turbines who twice fought back to equalise. The Blues are back in action on Tuesday when they have a league game at Chorley, kick-off 19.45hrs.

CUMBRIANS WIN AT THE DEVA

Chester completed their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of National league side Carlisle United on Saturday. After a goalless first half in which Dylan Mottley-Henry and Declan Weeks both went close the Cumbrians took the lead through Elliot Embleton’s penalty kick after Fin Shrimpton had fouled Regan Linney in the penalty area.
Minutes later Carlisle added a second as Tom Leak turned a Linney cross into his own net to complete the scoring.

The Bues start the new National League North season on Saturday when Peterborough Sports visit Deva Stadium, kick-off 15.00hrs.
