                              TALE OF TWO PENS
                              Chester suffered another
narrow away defeat on Saturday, losing 1-0 at Boston
United. The Blues had seen a Iwan Murray goal disallowed
for a foul before they had a great chance to open
the scoring early in the second period, after referee
Jack Hall awarded them a penalty following a foul
on substitute Connor Evans. Declan Weeks stepped
up but saw his spot kick saved by Cameron Gregory
                              in the Pilgrims goal.

The only goal of the game came in the 56th minute
as Liam Edwards fouled Keaton Ward in the area,
Edwards, who had been booked earlier in the match
was given a second yellow card and his marching
orders. Martin Woods slotted the penalty past Wyll
Stanway to seal the three points.

Earlier in the game Chester suffered a blow with
Charlie Caton limping off with an injury. The Blues
are next in action on Saturday with a home FA Cup
Third Round Qualifying tie against Nantwich Town,

                              Chester came from

second period with a well taken effort from Iwan
Murray and sealed the win with two goals in the
last six minutes through Harrison Burke and Charlie

                              BACK TO WINNING WAYS
                              The Blues put Tuesday’s
disappointment behind them with a 2-1 home victory
over Blyth Spartans on Saturday. Another crowd of
over 2,000 turned out on a baking hot day as Calum
McIntyre made five changes to the side beaten by
Hereford, giving a debut to Tom Sparrow.

Charlie Caton give Chester the lead ten minutes
into the second half coolly beating Alex Mitchell
after latching on to a Declan Weeks through ball.
Six minutes from time Spartans leveled through substitute
JJ Hooper and the visitors missed a golden chance
to take the lead blazing over from a corner late
                              on.

With the game entering the final minute a push on
Elliott Whitehouse was spotted by referee Lee Hible
who pointed to the penalty spot. Whitehouse himself
stepped up to send Mitchell the wrong way and seal
                              the three points.

goals saw the visitors pick up a 2-1 victory on
Tuesday night. Chester had taken the lead on 35
minutes through a Declan Weeks penalty but failed
to convert numerous chances to get a second goal.
The Bulls made late changes and one of these substitutes
Lassana Mendes leveled five minutes from time as
the Blues defence failed to clear a cross to the
far post. With two minutes remaining Aurio Teixeria
fired home an unstoppable shot from all of 30 yards
to give the rampant Bulls all three points.
